If your Friesian has trouble in our recent 90+/100+ degree and high humidity summer and doesn't sweat much, what (if anything) have you found helpful to help your horse sweat more? I've tried OneAC and it didn't work. I'm now trying Perspirade, but it's only been a few days so don't know if that helps. He has a free choice salt block, is stalled during the day with fans overhead, but at the end of the afternoon he'll be puffing a bit in his stall. He gets a cold shower that helps, but he doesn't sweat very much. He doesn't have Lyme's or any other metabolic issues, he's not overweight and in pretty good condition since I haven't been able to ride much in the past few weeks. Thank you!

Have you tried using electrolytes?

Yes, I have tried electrolytes, not much difference. But now it has been a good week since he has been on the Perspirade and I think it is actually helping! He is sweating, not a lot, but he's definitely wet, and had a good bit of foamy sweat between his hind legs, I only rode for 35 minutes or so, it was quite warm and humid. Normally a recipe for no sweating and normally lately there has been no foamy sweat between his hind legs. And he wasn't quite so huffy-puffy. So I'm thinking this Perspirade works to help. Thank you!
